LA2A clone/1176 plug or 1176 clone/LA2A plug

I can afford to buy 1 hardware comp clone for tracking vox/guitar/bass/drums. The rest of my chain isn’t high end (various mics>triton audio d2o>RNC>Focusrite Scarlett or Behringer interface. After some character for mild compression when tracking. I’m leaning towards LA2A clone because I enjoy the sounds I’m hearing in demos, but wondering if I may be better flexibility wise to get the 1176 clone. In either case there’s the possibility of getting a plug-in for the other style. Which would you buy as hardware?

Absolutely get the 1176 type. I've heard the Klark Teknik and it sounds great....imho.

La2a is nice as a luxury item, but the FET compressor can be fast or slow. LA2A can only be slow....it's not very versatile.

That means the 1176 can do drums, vocals, guitar...pretty much anything.
