The hearback system is a 1u box that takes 8 inputs via ADAT or DA-88 cable, its routed through cubase's mixer2 to set general levels, then it exits the hearback box via up to 8 cat5e cables to each players 'hub' which gives them 7 knobs with a volume and limiter, they adjust their own mix as they please and out from the hub - earbuds for the drummer and 1/4" out to wireless units for the others. And I never have to do anything to them!
