Hooking up right ohm outputs on a Mesa 2:100 poweramp

Hi!
I have a Mesa Rectifier 2:100 tube poweramp.

It has two separate channels. Each channel has one 8ohm and two 4ohm outputs.

So I'm connecting an 8ohm mono cabinett to the 8hm outout of channel A and a 4ohm mono cabinett to one of the 4ohm outputs of channel B. is this the right way to do it?

Just wondering so I don't damage something....

Yes, that's correct. I've got a Simul-Class 395 which has two 8 ohm jacks and two 4 ohm jacks per channel. The jacks are in parallel, so you can plug two 16 ohm cabs into the 8 ohm jacks or two 8 ohm cabs into the 4 ohm jacks. With a single cab, just plug it into one the matching impedence jacks.

Ok, but switching a stereo cab into a mono one with the switch on the back actually does make it into a "mono" cab right?

I can have either stereo 8ohm or a mono cab with either 4 or 16 ohm inputs...its a marshall 4x12....

Yeah, the cab has 4x16 ohm speakers wired as two parallel pairs at 8 ohms each. Throwing the switch to 4 ohms mono puts the two 8 ohm pairs in parallel for a mono 4 ohm load. It's exactly the same as leaving the cab in stereo and running two speaker cables to the parallel 4 ohm taps on one channel of your amp.
Throwing the switch to 16 ohms mono puts the two 8 ohm pairs in series, thereby doubling the impedence rather than halving it.
