TASCAM M600 vs GHOST

hello i'm from bangkok and new to this forum...
last year i have chance to get GHOST LE24 around 2,500 US from my friend
but i pass it and get the TASCAM M600 from another seller for 1,200 US.....
i have read a lot of how good about GHOST after that day......
and also a lot bad about M600.....
so as i'm a crazy guy about gear, can i ask
"did i make a big mistake by taking M600 than GHOST ? "
thanks for all of your opinion thumbsup

Hello Uylink,
I see that you are new to this forum, so welcome!
You may want to try posting this kind of question again in the "so much gear, so little time" forum....you have a much better chance of getting responses about your Tascam mixer there.
Kind regards.

The Soundcraft Ghost is an amazing board. I've had mine for about 6 years and have always liked the sound it gives me. Very clean pre's and a great eq. Personally I would have spent that little extra cash and got the Ghost instead of that Tascam you got.

No, it's not a mistake to work to your budget. The M600 can be modded and upgraded and comes up as a nice useable board. Billy Sherwood who did all the Yes stuff mixed on a modded M600 and liked it better than an SSL. Jim Williams on these forums is the man to talk to about M600's, but you can upgrade the op amps which apparently makes a big difference. For what it's worth, it's not hard to find people who also hate ghost consoles.
Love the one you're with,
Led
