Very nice, how do you like the Tubetech? I briefly considered it before going the Rascal Audio TB route. Will post a pic later.
Yes I do like it alot. I use it for listening to vinyls and for music production! Built like a tank, and the fact that the company constist of mostly family members and friends makes me have even more respect for these guys...
It will stay in my rack for a long time. I think
Joel is a very smart guy, to the point of going into things that I don't even immediately understand. So I took him at his word for it and the trial period he offered. She's still here and not going anywhere. I absolutely love the way it rounds stuff off for me. It's not a magic bullet but it is a very useful part of my workflow and journey to sonic happiness.
Looking great man, how many inputs and outpus are there and were in the chain do you use it?
Hey Erik this one is 24 but I have slugged the unused to 16. I use it just at mix stage. I do all my tracking and editing itb and then I bus everything out to the TB for mixing. It hits a network of transformers on the ins and outs which sounds great. The outputs are on a dsub. 1/2 are mains, 3/4 are monitors and 5/6 are direct outs for channels 5 and 6 for printing efx, compression etc. I haven't started using these but I'm hoping to add a few money pieces of outboard in the fall to print stuff through.

Sound great man. I miss having more outputs on the TT Nice work you did there...
This was built by me. It is powered by a pair of vintage Ward Beck M450B summing amps. JLMaudio AC/DC power supply and passive circuitry before the amps. It has only 8 inputs, and 2 pairs of stereo outputs. One pair goes to my converters/computer returns, and the other pair to my console so that I can still work and monitor when not ready to record the stereo mix back to the computer. When I want to record the mix returns, I mute the outputs on the console, arm record in the computer and Bob's your Summing uncle.
Works well and sounds good.
