How to use a insert with API 512b lunchbox?
I thought I'd ask the group first before going to API, but I was wondering if it's possible to use an insert (external compressor) into the signal path of the API 512b sitting in a API 6 slot lunchbox.
Any suggestions, I seem to like the sound of the compressor on a insert, than directly connecting it to the output of the module then into PT!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Find a pre-amp that has an insert point... because an API doesn't have one unless you do some kind of modification. If you want to use an API pre into a compressor your chain is Pre---->compressor---->converter.
