Hell Dave,

If I can catch a ride, we would like to be there....

You should also get me directions in case I can get access to a car.

I'm trying to devert a NY session to Nashville specifically to make this (devotion, meet pathetic... pathetic, meet devotion)... Doesn't look good.

What kinda "shoot out" plans you got? Mic pres? Eqs? Ribs? Beer?

If I do show up, I'll bring food with as to not screw up your food supplies too much. M, be prepared for several "Dokken" questions.
Old 7th July 2003

Well, on that day it's more down to the ribs and beer shoot-out and we'll have plenty of music and i hope you guys bring some more (music that is, food and beer we have enough).

No, problem with any questions, fire away...since we have doods from Royer, Benchmark , ADAM and Mr. Bob Olhsson there, I'm sure I'm not the only one answering questions heh

Oh yeah, David from Benchmark will bring 3 DAC-1s so we can listen to them in surround

Michael, please add two guests for me; I think Carolyn's planning on being there, and a buddy from the DC area will also be down.

My real name is fine

Michael,

I was just responding to an eariler post of yours.....if you prefer, you can put my real name .... Richard Brackin ... instead of Flexoffset.

I am not a professional engineer or producer...just a 31 year-old musician whose been interested in this for 21 years with a modest analog and digital home studio.

The guest list looks rather talent-rich.
Am I too far out of my league, on this one?

If not, I will have a Toyota Sienna Minivan and could try to haul some (3 or 4) folks to the show but would have to drive back home afterwards.

thanks
Richard

Well we broke down and rented a car. As we are doing the Oceanway and ProSound Mic Vocal seminar, we need access to it, so we will be the Mike with money in hand to help with some food, and some mics in the trunk for fun if we need want to have some....

Saturday night there's going to be another Bass Orchestra performance featuring Bob Babbitt who played bass on about half of our Motown records after 1968 and most of Thom Bell's productions during the '70s.

Hey, I'm a Texan - sweet tea is a Southern thing, not a Texas thing...

My sister tells me, though, that the Alabama recipe calls for 5 pounds of sugar for 5 gallons of sweet tea. Jeez - I'd rather take white crosses...

I'd sugggest that you look to your own heritage - a nice German pilsner like Paulaner would be lovely (says the man who doesn't drink)...

Seriously, you might also want to look at one of the locally produced beers like Market Street; Beersluts are just as bad as Gearsluts.

Dave, that's only because the girl keeps coming by and filling the damn glass up after we get it perfect with sugar. Like most Texans, I've given up and just drink it bitter, because in July I'd rather have her pour me more ice tea, than have it be sweet.

In the deep south, they basically drink bee pollen, with a peppermint leaf on top. (the Texan says "get that dang leaf outta my tea, I'm thirsty").

Ahh, my young alpha......we finally meet in person.

I wonder if either of us is actually as big a ****** as the other thinks? They tell me you're a nice guy in person. But heck, they tell me the same thing about myself, so why should I believe them?

heh

Mike,
If it's not too late put us down for myself +1. We are involved with starting a new music production company w/studio and would love to hang out with y'all. (I'm from Ohio so my tea is unsweet, but the wife's from Taylorsville, KY and the tea MUST be sweet or not at all!) Thanks.
