Proud Owner of Harrison 32 Eqs

I've made a thread on this topic before, but neither I nor any other slut posted sound clips.

Here's a quick duo I recorded a while back re-eqed with my lovely Harrisons.

Freaking Thick!

Where do you guys find yourselves using the Harrisons? They seem to be permanent fixtures on kicks and guitars for me.

Souns nice! Could you post the dry signal as well?

I'm guessing you'd want me to level match them as well!

Or would you rather have me balance the dry track as "nicely" as possible?

Thank you! Wow the Harrison 32 is very nice here! Doesn't sound "EQed" to me - just better.

harrison!

I'm glad that everyone is finally figuring out that Harrison makes great stuff. I have a Series 12 console and I was getting tired of having to explain to everyone what it is and why it is so special. IMHO, it is the best mix desk ever made. Let me add that I spent a few years mixing on an Amek 9098i (in a real studio, not at a school), an API Legacy Plus, and on various SSL's. I have owned consoles made by Neve, Soundcraft, Trident, and Neotek. I also spent a while mixing ITB. I love this desk. Plus, I have 64 channels of Harrison EQ. And it recalls instantly!

IMO this is what the Harrisons excel at! You can go hog wild with the top, and what you get back is a pure rich and refined tone. It's best use is on guitars. I used to be a heavy-handed Neve user on guitars, but the 32eq changes everything!

I just got two of these for my lunchbox and I think they are the most useful EQ's I own.

I like them better than Neve and API eq's. Very smooth tonally and when you make adjustments, the sound is improved or fixed perfectly if you are making corrective adjustments. The best thing though is that after you adjust or fix the frequency response of the signal, the sound is better overall and doesn't take on a new character or quality imparted by the EQ and there aren't any new artifacts or coloration added to your signal.

If you like the sound of your microphone and preamp, this EQ will leave it alone better than anything I have heard. Transients are un-changed. Neve and API EQ's can really soften transients and smear things compared to these Harrison EQ's.

I've only found coloration in the low band. If you push it a bit, the transformer rears its head.
