Adam A7 - Hissing

Hi guys.

I bought my Adam A7's in September last year and they have always had a veery faint hiss when the volume knob was at about 12 o'clock.
Not too bad of a hiss and was solved by turning down the monitors and turning up the output on my interface.

Now I have moved to a new apartment and they are hissing like crazy even when turned way down. It only disappears when turned all the way down.

So I tried:
1. Tried removing the signal cables but hiss is still there.
2. Tried turning off all appliances and lights in my apartment but the same hiss is there.
3. Tried moving the monitors to another room and plugging them into a socket with nothing else in them. Still they hiss the same.

Weird thing is, I tried them for the first time in my new place on Saturday and I cannot remember that they hissed like this then. Surely I would have noticed Im thinking. Its a very obvious hiss.

Any ideas?
I have contacted Adam about this but maybe someone has experienced the same?

EDIT: I should also mention that both of them are hissing in the same way.
Could it be some electrical problem? Some grounding problem?

UPDATE

This was a grounding issue.
I jerry-rigged a socket to bypass ground and now they dont hiss anymore.
