With the KSP-8 readily available and only a bit over $3k w/the remote... why bother with the 245... the plates are about even in my experience... and the KSP-8 does about 9000 things the 245 can't... as always, YMMV.

I have a 244 and while it's good for some things, it's pretty limited. Of course, when it's right it sounds great, but I don't often find myself going to it. I'd expect the 244/245 to be selling for around $750 US or so.

If you're looking for a second (or third) reverb to have around, especially on vocals or for background ambient things, the 245 would be OK if you can get it cheap enough.

Note that getting it fixed may be an issue. EMT/Barco in Europe will provide schematics, but it's like pulling teeth to get them.

I don't get it.....

I think the EMT245 absolutely rocks!

If anyone is selling one at $750 please PM me :-)
