Summit MPC-100a or TPA-200

I've got a MPC-100a which I've been using mainly for tracking vocal/bass... great pre but I've found the comp to be a little noisy with my tube mics (perhaps to many valves in the path?) I'm going for more of a clean 80's sound lately.

I'm in need of stereo pre now and am wondering if I should nab a 2nd MPC-100a and link them or if I should sell mine and nab a TPA-100a/b stereo pre and perhaps go with a SS pre like RNC.

Anyone who has used both pres care to compare them? What is everyone elses experience with the comp?
