M7 and 480L. AMS verb here too, but the 1st thing that goes on is always the M7.

My EMT 140, my studio stairwell and my fender tube reverb get use at my joint, as well as altiverbXL which i've found effect convolutions (overheads and toms).

din't mind my 480L but started having reoccuring nightmares about it needing repair soon so i sold it.

i want that damn bricasti!

My go to is a PCM-81.

The other hardware I use are:
Ensoniq DP-Pro
Behringer REV2496
Ibanez SDR-1000

I am very curious to see how good the the X-Verb for the Duende will be.

for voc's a 224x with Jim Williams mod which I really
like I was using the split patch room but recently the rich plate
for guitars R-880 usually fine tune any of lee Q's presets
for voc's again the m7 at the moment the chamber preset
acoustics pcm-60 short decays dark
pcm-90 on synths acc's bg's usually patch surf till happy
srv-2000 for side stick congas
lead gits any one of the above
actually any one of the above for anything
h-3000 for vocal doubling thingy effect
I also like my room with the distessor or the zener usually LDC,s L/R
natural pre delay about 30ms

good fun

EMT 140 & Bricasti M7 for me please.
Spring verb in the right applications.
If I really need something else then a 480 or 300.
I'd probably like TC verb units alright if I had a chance to use em more often. But usually I'll avoid most digital reverbs as much as possible except for the M7.

Of course, what counts as a "reverb processor?" Some folks have mentioned real spaces as echo chambers. If that counts, then count me among them. So when I'm at my home base, ad to my list the "Waits Room" and the "Prairie Room" emptied & miced up for certain genres.

How about a favorite delay thread?

+ 1, but at only around $300 for 8 instances (at 44.1) it wouldn't appear that it will be in the Bricasti, PCM96 league. But here's to hoping ! heh

when I work in "real" studios: 480 or orban, or one of the pcms.

in my home studio (lacking in big names but not in sound quality): ibanez sdr-1000 (almost always), occasionally behringer vverb (honestly).

cheers,
Don

Hey Fishmed,
How are you liking the Ensoniq? I am thinking about picking one up. Wish I could find a SDR-1000, but I think they have about dried up on the used market.

I love the Ensoniqs. I bought a pair of them new back in '97. The only thing I wish the company would have done was finished the Digital I/O on them. That was supposed to be an upgrade, but I don't think it ever saw the light of day.

My favorite patch on them is the Big Room. I like their chambers and snare verb too. Most of the sounds are thicker in a more lush way, more so than any of the low end units. I never got into plate reverbs until I got the PCM-81, and now I am addicted to them. Overall, I have been very pleased with the DP-Pro... one of my best purchases ever.

Bricasti M7, without a doubt.

Had a sessions break from the usual R'n'R the other day when an opera singer came in to track and mix a few piano/vocal duets. I Use the thing all the time but it really shined here.

The decay can't be touched by anything else. it was really refreshing to be the one behind the desk, eyes closed and to be amazed that what I was hearing wasn't recorded in a large hall but was actually our live room.

480L

Digidesign Revibe in convolution land.

Not that I own much more, but even when I have more stuff available, I tend to go there first. I actually like revibe more than altiverb...

Hardware:
M7 - goto - for early and loose reflections plus long tails
PCM96 on rock and some film stuff irreplaceable

Plugs:
Wizoo W2 - true stereo version Cathedral is superb plus can import true stereo (4 mono mic) impulse responses
Waves IR-1 true stereo - also imports true stereo impulses including Todd AO
TC VSS3 - early reflections chain work w/no hit on CPU

Same here ... I have a 300L which is my first love, but Revibe gets most use when I stay in the box. I have TL Space, but find it a bit flat and lifeless compared to those two, even though I have some decent IR's. I'm not convinced by Convolution Reverb .. for the moment.

Would you mind elaborating on that?
This is my least favorite but I kind of got spoiled in the old days before computers.
I will use the D-Verb for a quickie when I put down ideas so I have some ambiance to groove on, but I just don't love it's tails, or it's blocked up low end and mids.
I have a PCM 70 I use a lot, and I have a funny feeling I am going to be forced to get a Bricasti... Thanks to the internet
