Sony DMX R100 power supply

I just started playing around with my new Sony DMX and I noticed that the area around the power supply gets really hot. I was told this was normal but it still concerns me a little. Is there any way to seperate the power supply from the board, or should I just not worry about it?

It does get hot back there, but you should still be able to touch the powersupply and not get burned. Just keep it ventilated and don't cover it up.
