Sorry for dragging up an old thread, but...

Stupid question, I know...

Do the dials point from the big end or the small end?

For example: Is the attack on the top channel closer to Fast or Slow?

Thanks

Its closer to slow.

The make up gain goes from lo to high and the threshold is counterclockwise:highest threshold all the way to right and lowest all the way to left.

My red 3 is old and the adhesive says was tested 28/4/95.

The input transformer is the square metal box NEXT to the orange donut. The orange donut is the output transformer.

I have a friend with a Red 3 and he is interested in selling it. I know it can be had for under $2k.

He is in Ventura, CA about an hour north of LA.

If interested you can contact him at: [email protected]

- Cheers

PS. He also has some Chandler stuff for sale.

Kissed by the Red .... was an expression I heard a lot.

It's a lovely comp for sure - I wonder why Focusrite stopped making them?

Cost and a diminishing market.

I’d hate to think if they tooled up again to make My blue 230 how much they’d charge.. shuddering to think about the blue 315/330!!
