If this is a joke I didn't get it. Building 'tribute' consoles like the wunderbar, it would be convincing if the documentation was also 'tribute'.
If I use a console like this one I would like to know upfront about some things.
Like the panning law used for instance, with a graph.
The S/N ratio of the signal path depending on preamp and fader gain in a graph.
A block diagram of the signal flow with unity levels for each stage.
Where is the direct out in the path.
The S/N ratio unweighted of the bus out all faders at unity etc.
How the VU-indicators are calibrated and how to recalibrate them
what's the headroom, what's the noise floor...
etc...

I still have the manuals of the old Neumann consoles and the Studers. These are single suitcase User Manuals heh...

But those were consoles for engineers, not for musicians

One is API based, one is Neve based and third is Wunder. You choose which stereo buss you want to sum on based on what sound you want for the mix.

Absolutely gorgeous. I plan on picking up a PEQ2 soon, but not 24

Many congrats. I would really love to see some pictures with your monitor mounted in the middle, and everything set up and running. (I think that's what the middle section with the bracket is for, correct?)

I think your layout is perfect. 12 left, 12 right, monitor and keyboard center, master section directly to the right of that. I would probably get the exact same set up if I was ordering one.

I wasn't offered an install. Then again i'm just in a temporary one room setup at the moment. Hoping to build a studio this year.

I ordered the Monitor in December. Still waiting on it. If the monitor actually arrives i will take pics with it in place. The bracket is for an Apple 23" display with Vesa adaptor.

I spent a while trying to decide on the layout. Glad you think i got it right.

Of this, dreams are made...

Did you opt for the motorized faders?

I would have liked to. It would have been a step too far financially. Anyway, Mike wasn't too keen on adding them on. He said adding automation was a very easy install and i could add it myself later.

you don't need automated faders on a 24 channel desk, especially if you're feeding it from a DAW.

non-automated faders will also sound that little bit more transparent / quieter.

now, hook that baby up and get some SOUNDS running through it already GODDAMNIT!

do i have to come out there and make you do it or what?!

Hi Dubrichie. You are right. I'm ready to move onto that stage. Initially i was thinking of charging clients just to look at the console heh

You could do both. People watching behind glass walls. Eventually you could build a whole theme park around it.

No, not always. A motor isn't in the audio path. You don't have to use a VCA, MDAC or active attenuator to have automated faders... Be careful making these kind of statements... since when have you ever seen a complaint about the sound of a moving passive fader?
