manley steelhead

i'm thinking about adding the manley steelhead (phono preamp from their hi-fi line) to my home audio set-up. obviously, my turntable and records will love me for it, but does anyone know if this could provide some additional benefit in the realm of recording and/or mastering?

We use this pre to archive vinyl. It's great in that we have the balanced version and will drive the amps straight.

Another balanced phono pre you might want to consider demoing is the Simaudio Moon LP 5.3 - definitely cheaper than the Manley and ultra-clean and certainly worthy of being used in archival transfers.
