I've got a chance to get one for very cheap. It's not the latest technology, but still very high end (right?)
The only issue is supposedly latency. So if I'm overdubbing it's not going to work. How much is the latency, and if it's there, anyway to get around it? I'd really like to buy this piece, but if I can't dub with it then it's too limited in my studio......
I can get it for $1000. I am going to rent it this week and find out about the latency, if there is any. Being that this unit sold for $7K or so, I feel it's at least worth checking out!!!
Got the DCS converter. Man, what a sound. Or lack thereof. Near perfect representation of the source. Now, the hard part is mixing all the tracks, because every sound in the mix is so clean I'm having trouble "blending" them together. Need some fatso or something I guess.....
