Good Neve resource?

Does any of you know of a good web resource about Neve consoles of the last series (VR)

There seems to be plenty of info on older 80 series, but almost nothing about the VR series...

Thanks in advance.....

done a search myself ... think you're right ... can't find much either but why don't you try to send them an email through their webpage. They should be able to answer all the questions you might have ?

Try www.madlabs.com

John Musgrave is an expert on these consoles. He's modified many VR's.

The other is John Klett.

It is a cool console with a midrange bump. Its great for mixing pop/rnb and pop-country.

Its a tech headache at times(tons of caps in the channels). They start to go after a while and then the headaches begin. Recapping a VR is a task in itself.

They have a reputation for sounding good but being extremely expensive on maintenance du to the fact that they need recapping, I am precisely looking at getting some info because I assume the latest series are less prone to these problems....

Are you speaking about the VX or 88R?

Right Track here in NYC has a VX(fantastic console).

www.righttrackrecording.com

They are pretty cool over there and I am sure if you contact their tech he can answer some of your questions.

The 88R is a different design(design team is different too).
