Bear with me as I think out loud.
I do alot of work in post and deliver in .WAV or QT @ 16/48.
If I BTD at those settings could I use the HEDD in the bounce chain by ex:
Master 1&2 > (AES) HEDD (AES) > PT 3&4 > BTD select out 3&4?

You guys who use it, would it be money better spent than going HD?
I'm sure HEDD and HD would be sweet, but what would you choose first?

Isn't one a $3k+ upgrade and the other a $10k+ upgrade?

My upgrade to HD would be around 8k.
I'd maybe spend 3k on HD path and lease the balance.
Still I'd be paying it all over time.
But would I hear a bigger difference w/HEDD in the short run.
or would the 3k be better spent going toward HD?
I'm so addicted to gear.

Or a control surface?
Too much stuff I want!

there is no question

You must have bothheh

HD gives you tons of power and sounds great too....if you don't need the power and you don't do much multitracking then maybe the HEDD...
But being an HD owner I would never ever go back, I love HD. And the HEDD.

Yep. Get both.

I think that BTD would work, Also, you could use the dither of the Hedd to get from 24bit to 16bit.

Do you guys have Analog Channel?
If so, how would you compare it to HEDD?
I know it is out board and does some thngs AC does not but as far as the "Analog Channel saved my mix" sound.
