TELEFUNKEN V76

Anyone knows how to remove the broadcast filters on a V76.
I'm not sure, but i heard that standard they build in some easy to remove filters to block anything down 80Hz and up 15 KHZ.
I also heard somewhere that when you remove them you have a full response from 5 hz ! to 40 khz!.
But then you pick up things you don't even need heh

There must be a way to tweak these things from 20HZ/to 20Khz or something.

Anyone, tips, tricks......
thanks

It's not true that you don't need them, harmonics created by low frequencies and sub harmonics of high frequencies and their modulation of other frequecies, not to mention high order harmonics that extend into the inaudible range effect sound in a really powerful manner.

the ones to get are the V76s.
the "s" indicates "studio"-they have NO filters.
I have some that have been rebuilt and racked by Oliver at Tab-Funkenwerk.
he is very busy right now but you might be able to talk to him.

Mike, I talked to the guy of tab-funkenwerk.
And although he was very helpfull and told me about the filter things, etc.
But on the other hand a bit indistinct on how to do it.
Understandable, it is one of his Modifications you have to pay for. heh
