I have the chance to purchase a vintage Naumann U87 in excellent condition at a fair price, and I will also have the opportunity to have a friend test it for me.
Having a look at the diphram capsule (pic attached), I can see that there are black spots on it.
Could this be a problem already?
The more critical question is, if I purchase it, can this be fixed?
I would not worry so much about a few spots here and there, but rather about the fact that the original Neumann K87 capsule has been manipulated by third parties: it is possible that new aftermarket diaphragms were installed.
But only a physical inspection would confirm what exactly was done to the capsule.

The capsule hardware is original Neumann but the skins have either been cleaned or replaced. My guess is the latter, but this cannot be verified easily by the photos you posted.
For a bit more information, please take a close-up, head-on, not angled, shot of just the upper half of the front capsule and post it.
