KS Digital

Anybody have any experience with KS Digital? I understand that because they use filtering in the digital domain, they have better impulse response, which would result in more depth and a better stereo image.

I've heard the big ones a couple of times (ADM1) and they were pretty f#cking amazing. You really hear a lot. Maybe even a little too much, 'cause even what you (think you) know to be great mixes will have something weird going on somewhere where you would not normally hear.

I don't actually have any mixing experience on these, so I'm curious to find out anything from somebody who has.

They also have small monitors in the 1030 pricerange which blow the Geni's off the map.

They are hand built in Portland,OR by Conrad Sundholm and most of the independent producers around here use them now. All of the engineers I know who have used them really like how they sound.

The best part about Sundholm monitors is that mixes translate to the outside world perfectly. I actually believe this. Whenever I mix on these, I have total confidence that my mixes will work on almost any system. I have almost completely stopped checking my mixes on other systems. I just don't need to.

The other thing that is great about these monitors is that they are not that expensive. A completely decked out system including a power amp and sub will be about half the price of these Adam monitors everyone is trying to buy. You really should give them a try if you are looking for monitors.

BTW, I don't work for Sundholm or recieve any kind of kickback from them. I just believe that they make a fantastic product.
Hey Craig!
What power amp would you recommend for my Sundholm 8.5 monitors?

xo from portland.
