BLUE.....CACTUS........
I have had an offer on a cactus mic from blue for a VERY cheap price compared to it 's retail.

For those with experience - what other mics would you voice this against.

I of course am going to listen to it myself - but would like to hear others opinions on working with this mic in multiple situations

I tested the Cactus on female voacals and acoustic guitars.
For me it just sounded strange. Very dark and kinda honky. I really tried to like it!
Went for a Gefell M990 instead. Never looked back.

There's a very cheap Cactus for sale at Golden Age in Sweden. If you're not talking about that one, have a look!

Well, I tested it along with Gefell UM92, Soundelux E47, Brauner Valvet Voice and a couple of others. The Cactus stayed.
It's dark.
