That would be "board tape" and not Gaffer's tape. And what is wrong with that? It works quite effectively, especially if you can draw nice little pictures...
less board tape, more grease pencil please.
there are electronic scribble strip windows just above where the tape is. my guess is that it's a monumental PITA time-suck to type in all the track names as opposed to scribbling on a piece of tape with a sharpie.
I like them on the meterbridge as well. Haven't seen what SSL is offering but I doubt seriously that they can handle the 66lb Barefoots anyway.
I checked them out and they can take a lot of weight. The meterbridge itself is also very solidly built. Not sure about 66lb but it's not impossible I'd say.
