Thanks, great stuff. I have a matched pair of C35ps, they're really nice, great bass response.
There are lots of obscure mics in your list I've never heard of, it will be great to read about them
In your list you have missed out on the C36p, which is a side-address version of the C35p. However, the specs are pretty much identical to those of the C35p (same capsuel and electronics), so any C36p owners can just check the c35p manual.
Thanks.
Sometime ago I read about C36p, but forgot the source and canβt find it.
As I know, C536p is similar to C36p in the same way as C535p to C35p.
and I think, C535p/536p are "updated" versions of c35p/36p (but not sure)
Thanks.

Yes, I think that's right. I used to have some C36ps and they looked just like the c536 in your pictures, but with a green line instead of red (similar to the C35p).
Thanks again for this fantastic resource. I am downloading it now, it's great knowing more about these very good but a bit forgotten mics.
Interesting, I see included my own scan of my vintage (pre-"Sony") C-37A manual. It is an old, faded, stained "blue print" copy in purple on yellow paper. And some previous owner wrote some notes on the schematic page.
Page 4 with the microphone head dimensional drawing has a printed header: "Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo, Ltd." which is crossed out and replaced with "SONY CORP". http://www.rcrowley.com/SonyC37/images/man04.jpg
Some manuals/schematics I found and downloaded from the web.
Big THANKS! to all who scaned it!
and sorry, if I using your copy of manual(s) without your consent.
Some I got with microphones.
And a lot of (like service manuals for C-500, C-48, C-800G etc) was buyed: some as files, some as paper (original or copy).
I think, such information must be for free.
I have no objection to using the images. The content doesn't really belong to me, but to Sony. I agree that the information should be free. Thanks for assembling all the info.

schematics for CP-2 can be find in file \C-37A\SonyC37A_manual01_ocr.pdf
for CP-3B - \C-37A\SonyC37A_manual02.pdf
and for CP-3 (without "B") - \C-17B\Sony_C-17B_Manual_jpn.pdf
as I know, microphones C-37A, C-17B, C-57 can be used with one of power supply: CP-2, CP-3, CP-3B
Thanks, this is really interesting. I always thought that the C535p and c536p had a more extended high frequency response than the C35p and the C36p.
However, from the specs you have put up the frequency response is very similar. I wonder then what was the reason for the update to c535p and c536p, perhaps just marketing?
For completeness, I attach the manual for the C-35p

Thanks for manual! Added to archive.
I think not only marketing
Capsules in C-35P and C-535P looks very similar,
but there are some differences (for the first view):
Signal to noise ratio:
more than 52 dB --- more than 72 dB
Effective output level:
-37.0 dBm --- -40 dBm
Length:
135 mm --- 154 mm
Interesting, thanks! So it seems to be an update of the design with a larger signal to noise ratio (and some other differences which are more difficult to interpret)
