Not only a better ending but a much better concept. They totally changed the concept behind the "outbreak" in Quarantine.

'A Simple Plan'. Someone told me to see it, don't remember who.

Excellent movie. I always like movies with real people about disturbing stuff that could really happen. Though I could never be one of them. heh

A Simple Plan. That's a great movie.

In that light I also really liked In The Bedroom and Nick Nolte in that other movie . . . You know that movie. That one. James Coburn played his father. Good movie. Check it out.

Affliction. Some of these movies are hard to watch.

What about The Usual Suspects? And the Cohen Bros first movie - Blood Simple. Good.

Then there's the amazing "Millers Crossing."

'The Fall'

This is a fantastic movie. It really draws you in, what a fantasy. At times, very funny. Then quite sad. The cinematography was simply stunning. The story, superbly written. Best movie experience I've had in some time.

"The Room". No lie. You will not regret it, I promise. Its the best worst movie ever. I bought the DVD and quite simply cant fathom how such a monstrosity was created. Shot on two cameras (film and HD) basically duct taped together. That and Tiptoes with Gary Oldman and Matthew Mconahay (sp). Each is perfect for a "bad movie night" screening with friends.

I just finished watching Sex, Lies, and Videotape. I saw this movie like 1991 or so, and hardly remembered it, not sure why. Crazy stuff. thumbsup

Wristcutters. It's a 'cute' artsy, dark comedy, indie film about death and relationships. One of my favorites I'd recommend to anyone.

Might want to check out a guys work before you dismiss it and relate it to some shlt movie based solely on the geography. Hunter S. Thompson was a bright man, aren't we all nut jobs? if you're not disturbed your eyes aren't open.

Ones I've come across lately

Little Children - not great, but good
Catch-22 Did Heller's book great justice
Mother Night also made Vonnegut proud
Strange Wilderness- funny as balls for a "stupid comedy"

I have no desire. Sorry. My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with geography. Where the hell did that come from? No, we're not all nut jobs. Geography??

For something a little different

Hero - Stylistically like Crouching Tiger but much better in every way. Visually gorgeous and and a great story (subtitled)

The Last Emperor - Won at least 5 or 6 Awards

City of God - (subtitled) Simply amazing. I didn't even read half of the subtitles. Didn't need to.

My geography comment that i didnt think was that tricky had to do with you saying "that other lame ass las vegas movie" as if they are related in any way other than geography
