50th Anniversary, The Day The Music Died

Today is the Anniversary of the plane crash killing Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens in a Iowa cornfield in 1959.

R.I.P.

I am amazed there is so little interest in this; have we reached the point where these three are forgotten by the newer people?

Buddy pioneered the rock quartet, in addition to writing some good songs, and no one even wants to chime in and say "I remember the day....", metaphorically speaking...

Sad.
