We are delighted to announce our first seminar with producer CRAIG SILVEY, known for working on key albums from the likes of Florence + The Machine, Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, The National, Portishead and Arctic Monkeys!

The special event will take place from MAY 20 to 26 at the enchanting Studios La Fabrique near Avignon in the South of France.

This will be a private, in-person seminar, with Silvey sharing his knowledge, techniques, and philosophy exclusively with the participants.

They will also have the opportunity to work with him on their own projects and receive individual feedback. Attendees will have full-board accommodation at the high-end recording studio, each with their own rooms within the mansion and gourmet meals prepared by our chefs.

This summer, Tchad Blake returns to the South of France for a remarkable seven-day seminar on music mixing!

Tchad is a master at capturing and manipulating sound in a way that ignites the imagination. His work can be heard on an endless list of records including Crowded House, Sheryl Crow, Peter Gabriel, The Black Keys and many more.

We invite you to join us in France from June 8 to June 14, where you will have the opportunity to study and learn from Tchad at this interactive summit on the art of mixing. The event will take place at Studios La Fabrique, an illustrious recording facility built inside a 19th-century French manor house. The studio is home to some of the finest recording spaces and equipment in the world - the perfect playground for sonic experimentation.

Over the last 20 years, Automotive Audio has changed dramatically from being standard mono sound in one full range loudspeaker to a true multichannel playback system fully integrated and adjusted to the specific car. Today some of the most advanced sound technologies are being developed and applied in Automotive Audio. Recently the role of audio in the automotive industry has significantly changed. Sound systems are used to design the sound of cars, i.e. the sound of the car itself due to its motion and thus generation of sound (usually called noise). The impact of streaming, ride-share, autonomy, Battery Electric Vehicle’s (BEV’s), ownership models and car share could have a profound effect on the way we think about sound in and around vehicles and microphone challenges and use cases.

The conference will give an overview of the present state-of-the-art in some specific topics, and addresses many of the new scientific disciplines involved in this still-emerging field. Automotive Audio involves combinations of otherwise complementary scientific fields such as power electronics, bus systems, loudspeaker drive units, signal processing (DSP), acoustics & vibrations (NVH) and more.

This July, Bob Clearmountain will be hosting his very first seven-day seminar in the South of France!

Bob is one of the most influential engineers and producers of our time, having worked on era-defining hits by artists such as Chic, The Rolling Stones and David Bowie. This summer he will spend a week sharing his incredible knowledge and wisdom with a select group of participants at the renowned Studios La Fabrique.

The seminar takes place from 11 to 17 July 2022 . During this time, Bob will host a comprehensive programme of practical workshops, interviews and mentoring sessions. Many of these sessions will take place in front of the studio's powerful Neve 88R console, where Bob will demonstrate his signature workflow and mixing techniques. Participants will also be given the opportunity to share their work with this master and receive personalized feedback from him, allowing them to hone their craft and discover new creative possibilities.

Each attendee will be offered private quarters within the beautiful studio buildings, and five-star catering will be provided by our team of gourmet chefs. Everything is taken care of to ensure that participants can focus fully on their professional development and make the most of their time in the studio.

The Audio Engineering Society is pleased to announce its fourth International Conference on Audio for Virtual and Augmented Reality. This conference will gather research scientists, engineers, VR and AR developers and content providers to explore and discuss topics such as: spatial audio capture, rendering and synthesis over headphones and loudspeakers; binaural, ambisonics and wave field synthesis techniques; 3D sound field navigation; HRTF modeling and derivation from optical and/or acoustic measurements; reverb and room acoustics synthesis; 3D audio mixing and content production; and sound design for VR/AR, and best practices.

The three-day conference program will focus around the dissemination of top-level research in the field of spatial audio for virtual and augmented reality, and discussion of technical solutions and recommended practices. In addition to the paper and poster sessions, the conference will also consist of invited presentations from key researchers, practitioners and industry leaders, demonstrations, panel discussions, tutorials, and workshops.
