Sounds like a virus to me, a virus could do that sound easily

Don't have a virus. Read that you can do similar things to virus w/sylenth and I do have this. Any ideas about how to synthesize something like this on sylenth?

I'm pretty sure that's iZotope Iris 2.

I think the main character of that synth sound it's the texture, that's why I think it was made in Iris or through other tools built for spectral synthesis (Omnisphere, Camel...), by layering multiple samples, assigning different looping behaviors and modulations. This kind of "textured" sounds, that sometimes feel out of time, are all over his last album. This "not-time-aligned" feeling is what makes me think of Iris 2.
I never used Sylenth, so I'm not sure on how exactly you can get close to that. Modulation would be the key, I think.

To get that type of sound I suggest buying a Yamaha CS80. And then use any type of substractive Synth (vst or hardware) to create this simple sound by layering square waves, slightly detune and some careful filter envelope . Hope to be of help, kind regards.

P.s what a ****ing horrible music video.

@ 1.40 you can hear the sound lower down the scale more clearly.
It has the envelope type of a steel drum. it also sounds like it is played
like a zither. I'm guessing it's played on electronic percussion or scontroller pads.

I'd probably suggest at finding some acoustic modelling and manipulate a zither.
programming these kinds of responses can be hard and then there's all the FX.
which may be Eventide oriented. I have sounds similar, made on a V-Synth and
it's Vocoder engine and even it's D50. I'd probably look at madrona labs for pluggins.
