Other good internet boards for synths?

Anyone know of other good synth forums besides this one? I need a bigger fix than one board can provide . . . or good sites about synths, that could work too. THanks in advance . . .

Reddit has a synthesizer subreddit my buddy mods.
I get my fix on here for news/opinion. I prefer to get my fix with the stuff I already have.

I didn't make this, but it excites and inspires me to make better music with what I have: https://fofmusic.bandcamp.com/album/yore-lp

I'm not sure how I feel about the Alan Parsons Project sample on this: https://fofmusic.bandcamp.com/album/...ng-what-we-are
I hope it's cleared.

There's also Google + communities. I suck at being active on there consistently, but they seem like a good crowd when they're no busy shamelessly self-promoting.

Electro-music.com can wield results if you know what to ask
Yahoo Groups and FarceBook shouldn't be ignored either though tend to be niche to a specific brand or model.

You know something, while I was vaguely aware of Bandcamp I pretty much skipped over checking it out for any length of time. Whenever I checked out something I thought it was a bit **** but that was a looooong time ago. Glad you brought it up as those links are excellent. Now to waste a day nosing around...

Normally I'd agree with you, but in this case it isn't relevant to this forum. Its a clear Google finds the answer post.

As someone with a ton of posts on various boards: no, you don't.

We Are The Music Makers Forums

There is a reason I'm not on HC or VSE anymore, GS moves fast enough.

other sites i have bookmarked:
Synthtopia (clearing house for synth videos)
KVR (mainly software, but hardware forum too)
The Keyboard Corner - MusicPlayer Forums (which i perceive as more US, more skilled players, but some really good discussion)
soundonsound.com (bit quiet on the synth front these days, but lots of studio/recording discussion - great reader's ads)
Sonic State - News, Reviews, Video Features, Music Making Gear (needs no introduction)

I need to pick their brains. I bought Yore on Vinyl and it's excellent! There are zero credits, though. That's something I'm not personally down with on my label.

I'm about to do a release through Bandcamp of my own stuff to fund physical pressing/marketing for the other guys on my label.

Thanks for hearing the question in the spirit it was intended.

...and to others for your takes.

@hogberto: I actually surf Keyboard Corner as the anti-GS: bunch of piano/organ guys intensely discussing the best rompler for their jazz gig or '80s tribute band, and which more-or-less identically spec'd powered speaker to put it through.

@yoozer: I found Harmony Central as it used to be helpful sometimes, reviews and forum both. The zombie HC reportedly has lost most of the reviews, oops.

Still looking for a nerdier nuts-and-bolts of programming site, and then life would be perfect. Tried some yahoo group (z1 maybe?) and it was mostly spambot stuff.

That's pretty cool. Make sure you let us all know when it's done. My faith in Bandcamp has been restored!

That fb site is complete garbage.
GS is fine, but now they also put the fb login plug, which I find pathetic.
I wonder what's the gain for GS for doing that, and I wonder how much data is fb immorally scrapping from every effing corner of the web.

Even FL Studio has the fb login crap now.
A friend mentioned that his anti-virus has a fb login too!!

They and their nsa stasi buddies probably want to sort and consolidate all the personal data and content ever and put a {face!!} and name to every single bit of it from anywhere on the internet...

If I ever create a synthesizer, its name will be ORWELL...
