I surely hope so!
But will it ever happen ?
Cos I love its desktop format!

It's already has full polyphonic patterns.
It can sequence songs.

Yep. There are the P3 patterns - but also "CK" patterns which are polyphonic, so i don't understand your question. The CK patterns were on the Cirklon from the start.

I am under the impression you can record and playback polyphonic patterns but editing is still quite limited?

I would like to create songs by chaining patterns in realtime.
Also to edit CK pattern based song events (and its patterns) FULLY, editing controller data etc like on a MPC or workstation sequencer easily.
Can do?

You can quantize these also easily ?

All of this is done more easily and thoroughly on the cirklon than on an MPC, and you have more intuitive ways to do all of these things as well, depending on how deep you want to go with it (ex. Using quant% track values per track per scene to quantize rather than straightforward quantization, which is done by clicking "menu" then "apply quant," voila)

Editing is not limited at all.. You can select any note or other event that occurs during a pattern, edit it to 48ppqn ticks, and edit any velocity, cc param, length, etc as well as easily as turning 2 knobs.

What MPCs do have over cirklon is sample manipulation, and this is what sets them apart. The circling is simply a sequencer, but pretty much beats he MPC in this department in every way.

480 ppqn I hope!

Still, a few people sold their Cirklon to get a MPC, thats my worry.

Could you pls - Colin - put up a complete video of arranging a song with the Cirklon, starting from polyphonic input into patterns and then realtime chain them into a song ? THen show the editing of it thru the CK editor? I am sure a lot of potential buyers will appreciate this as this side of the Cirklon is still a bit vague or in the dark for that matter ...

One last thing: it all is 7 bit (0-127 midi values).

Is 14-bit hires midi resolution possible or available in the future ?

I've only ever seen people selling MPC's to buy Cirklon's, not the other way around.
Even then, why should that be a worry ? They are quite different.

For each scene you create you set how many times it plays before it advances to the next scene.
Set out your scenes in the right order, with the correct amount of repeats and there you have your song.
It's that simple.

yeah the cirklon can do all of this. ck mode does polyphonic step sequencing, but it can do live recording too.

it just doesn't have big rubber velocity sensitive pads for doing live recording. you could hook an external akai midi controller with pads on it if you wanted that.

Can the cirklon accept a midi keyboard via the USB input?

Also is there a direct comparison ..pros and cons between it and numerology.

I know they are pretty similar but what are the main differences beyond the obvious hardware vs software?

Not directly, but you can route the keyboard through a computer to the Cirklons USB port.

Thanks!.....I do have both manuals but I was wondering if anyone had tried both from a use ability point of view.

I'm leaning heavily towards the cirklon but I was just wanting to cross numerology off the list.

It's the cirklons no bs focused interface that's winning me over but the wait is frustrating.

Typical gearslutz answer ..... And yes I'll probably end up doing just that and be in a position to write a comparison.

But Money is not the issue here but my time to learn is.

Well you could be learning Numerology while you wait on the Cirklon.
Have you joined the Sequentix user group ?
There are people there who have used both.
