I have UK price for Subphatty!

Looks like a decent price?

2x price of minibrute, is it twice the synth?

sorry just remembered this old joke after your post heh i agree about bwm and ford, having driven both. but not sure this fits the analogy here.. moog is very nicely designed, but sound in music is a creative force and highly subjected to individual taste - someone might love minibrute sound over this, no matter how shiny the panel and gorgeous the knobs are. not me, just sayin..

My parents got 20 years out of their Ford van. If it would have been maintained better it probably would have lasted 30 or more.

They ended up giving it away to charity. (It still ran when they gave it away.)

The Minibrute has more interesting things going on than the subphatty, not sure why a new Moog synth with practically similar features to their other lines of gear is getting fanfare. Minibrute has a dedicated LFO with separate pulse and tremolo functions, ability to mix shapes and a multimode filter that brings a new sound to the table. Moog on the other hand ... finally got sub oscillators?

I hope they make a slim sub phatty. That keyboard puts me off a bit.

Only in US grammar. In British grammar, 'are' is correct in this context.

A filter that is essentially unique (save for one vintage synth that wasn't mass produced) brings a lot of new sound and possibility to the table, whereas Moog created a good filter in the 60s and never really changed it. They may have created an "industry standard", but its a boring one that I've heard too much to ever want to hear again.
