im guessing its software. maybe massive? (not like id know or anything since i only use hardware synths)

I dont have massive so i dont know if it loads single cycle waves, but theres a site with a whole bunch of them for free

2 hours later! And I've got it! I actually messaged Jay Cosmic himself to confirm my suspicions were right and he replied to give me a bit of help: "Hey dude, yeah that's right, play with phase modulation - won't take long!" so it's a bit of a cheat (sorry!) haha The key is using NI's Reaktor 5 and selecting the Synthesizer named "Lazerbass" I selected the oscillator "Full Saw" and as he suggested, play around with the phase modulation located in the center of the synth.

eh... i guess its finally time to get reaktor. and all those other stupid softsynths.
a friend mentioned he bought the latest version of logic bundled with all the native instruments stuff for $500 or so. does anyone know about this? if so, details please. if not, ill see if my friend can give me more details and will share w you folks.

It sounds like a comb filter to me, with modulation of the cutoff freq. I don't think it would be very hard to recreate this sound, and it could very easily be done in Reason using Thors comb filter.

God if I could be bothered I'd do it for you but sooo cant be bothered.. sorry.
