Can anyone share good samples of TX81Z Lately Bass, or DX100 Solid Bass?

I sold my TX81Z several months ago and totally forgot to sample/record my fave sounds from it before I sold it

Can anyone help out and share some high quality Lately/Solid bass samples please? (and maybe even some Wood bass and other fave sounds please)

I could come close and give you a link of a TZ81Z sample pack.

Valve 4 Op For EXS24

I've not purchased it myself yet but will in the coming weeks. I have read good things about it though

I meant for free. I'd rather just buy another one since they're so cheap, instead of buying samples.

Lately Bass has velocity, so sampling it exactly would be quite a chore.

free samples usually dont have much depth in terms of multisampling so if you are going to bother Id buy a decent sample set or the unit...

TX81z costs less than $100. Just buy it again, sample it your way, then sell it again.

Hi, they're unexpensive, however, some of us have just no room for yet another rack. I tried the Lately Bass 1 & 2 samples for FM8, and they sound weak compared to the real thing. Do you know of a true good VSTI that recreates successfully the authentic lately bass sound? Thanks,

Here is a comparison from the real lately bass patch and the sampled sfz patch:

Thanks for that comparison. The sample solution isn't satisfying, in my opinion. I am more searching for a sort of reversed-engineered soft synth (such as Rebirth RB-338 was for the TB-303).

I still have my TX81Z and its sole purpose was lately bass. The SFZ samples demo above is pretty good - its the straight lately without any editing.
However Lately is highly editable with minimum efforts resulting in countless variations of lately (I never use the straight version). Its just a case of adjusting the operator frequencies and there are other things you can edit easily. So all this variation is hard to sample accurately. Their so cheap I think its best to just buy one. I had a DX100 ( i think it was that one), and I don't know why but its version didn't sound as good as the TX81Z.

TX81Z is also excellent for dubby bass that cuts through - again its a simple case of just editing Lately frequencies, maybe turning off an operator or two. Whatever, its a great machine for dub bass to.

Edit
As is typical!! I see on Ebay they are no longer Β£50. Prices are to high imho

Edit2
Might have been a DX11 I owned. Whatever it was it didnt sound as good and it was much nosier.

Can anyone share good samples of TX81Z Lately Bass, or DX100 Solid Bass?yamaha tx81z in Musical Instruments & Gear | eBay

Wow, the price has gone up! I paid $75 for mine.

Also the sfz version doesn't sound bad, it's just that the velocity scaling in off and is missing the low end of the real deal.

Are you trying to say that the first one (the actual patch from my TX) is better than the sampled?

Are you confused why the sampled version doesn't sound the same?

I think it is the dx21 that's its keyboard relative.

Well, your memory must be bad as that is the unedited Lately Bass preset in the first half of the comparison.

It's influence from listening to Fluke.

Lately Bass also makes a great psytrance bass sound:

More nice goa-trance tunes featuring lately bass:

The lately bass won't go old-fashioned anytime soon. It blends so nicely with other sounds and melodies

Nice comparison! I could go back and resample it. I could probably match it better with release trigger samples as well.

I did sample every patch on my TX81Z. When I get more time maybe I'll wrap the best ones in a sample pack.

Do you guys have any other favorites? I really like the pitched percussion and drum patches as well.

Very over-used preset in early 90's dance music.

I've found I could get something VERY similar using the Korg Volca bass on sawtooths. And with an actual filter, it sounds better IMO.
