Need some help with high quality sample packs, anyone?

Hi!!!!

Recently I bought a MPC 1000, and would like to know about high quality DVD or other format of samples ( drum machines, voices, synths...) to make banks for the MPC.

I already know about Digital Redux™ - Planet Drum Machine and would like to know more high quality stuff.

Thank you all!

24bit 96KHz is not necessary. the MPC1000 outputs at 16bit 44 KHz.

I can recommend:
Driven Machine Drums Strike Back Driven Machine Drums STRIKES BACK!!: 24bit Electronic Drum Samples for Geist, GURU, EXS-24, and Kontakt in WAV, AIF
Goldbaby Samplesets Goldbaby Home Page

I'm also a big fan of Soniccouture samplesets.

for more opinions (it's not a novel question ) check this thread:

Thank you for your answer, and for that other thread. I'm not just looking for drum samples, but voice and all types of sounds.

you're welcome
please use the "advanced search" function to search the whole forum?
also using an external search engine like Google or Startpage helps sometimes to find stuff on Gearslutz.

here's some more:

oh, do you have JJ OS on the MPC? MPC1000 JJ OS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AOZyiPUsaM
advantages: more features, easier edits and overall better
disadvantage: worse clock timing (if you want to control external machines) compared to the Akai OS
once you installed the JJ OS you can always reboot in the Akai OS, it just adds an alternative, doesn't overwrite
if you use the MPC without sequencing external gear with it, JJ OS is very cool and will speed up your workflow.

What genre do you intend to produce? When you say make banks, do you mean for yourself or to release commercially?

Hi!

When I say banks its to use in my MPC...

I produce house (jack,acid...), techno and some weird stuff, but I dont want just samples that are made for that.
I like to explore different stuff in order to produce different things.

Oh okay.

Well, you will need variety, but you would benefit from some good basic house drum samples, kicks claps hats.

I've found that the Ad brown samples on freshly squeezed samples are brilliant, they very easily work in a mix, the kicks in particular as excellently done. They are fairly varied too.

If you pick up NI Battery second hand you will get a lot of good samples.

Nothing else comes to mind right now unless you have something more specific your looking for.
