Zed 10 FX + JMX Resonator +Limiter

so folks,

I am building a live-setup / got the tempest&octa so far
I have a zed10fx mixer & would like to buy me a jomox t-resonator & a little limiter to tame the beast / keeping my monitors alive

I read the whole (very thin) zed manual back & forth but still don't understand the general mixer-concepts:
how do I use the "main mix inserts" & aux
or what is exactly the difference between record outs, monitor outs & main outs

Could I insert the resonator & the limiter some how?
Are the "main inserts" made exactly for this?
or the aux?
It would be great if I could turn a knob (the aux knob??) & switch like this
between the sound with or without the resonator - but how to connect?
inserts/aux >>>resonator >>limiter >>back to the stereo input on the mixer?
wouldn't there be a feedback problem?

I don't want to buy before I know if & how I could use the resonator (in a mixer-live-setup) or seamlessly in my studio routine without being forced to plug it in/out every second

please halp
greetings
d

You are brave to use a T-Res live! I can barely tame the thing in the studio..
As for patching it into a mixer. I expect the best way is either use the inserts on the input channels (although the Zed10 being small, doesn't have them). Or, use the aux sends. It appears the Zed10 has 2? (each will be mono) Although the T-Res will work with a single mono input and still have a stereo output, so you could get away with using 1 aux send. Thus freeing up the other aux send to use with another effects processor of some kind if you wanted. You'd then want to take the 2 outputs from the T-Res and route it back into the mixer via the effects returns. But the Zed10 doesn't appear to have these either. So you could use one of the regular stereo inputs on the mixer instead.

Limiter. I guess you'd either want to chain that after the T-Res (probably a good idea!), or maybe use it on the master inserts of the Zed10.

thank u Llitsor

It sounds from your post like the fx/footswitch & aux & the "main inserts" are all just some additional main outs?
beside "record out" & "monitor out" & "main out"
is it really like this?
