Fair point.

It's a tough week and I'm looking at everything through cynical-tinted glasses.

I don't find an arpeggiator or a step sequencer innovative...They are classic ideas and can be easily implemented in software (Little Phatty already has a good arpeggiator). At this point, Moog can't be really innovative without raising the cost and that could be catastrofic considering their already high prices.

I can imagine some new products though, like an advanced LP with full range Minitaur VCOs and very clever systems to reduce the cost without reducing functionality, like VCOs that can act like LFOs, a proper VCO cross modulation and a full routing system. Even a "digital part" that can work as a CV modulation source by processing multiple buffers at the same time etc and all of these under the same interface principles of Little Phatty, or a combination with a bigger screen and "soft buttons" to make it more affordable.

you're missing the point, i don't mean to say an arp or a step sequencer are innovative features, they're like the oldest trick in the book lol... however it would be innovative (and cheap) for moog to implement them in the voyager. don't you find it a bit strange the much cheaper phatty has an arp and not the front-runner? my point is simple, i want new features not new colors. also they can be innovative without raising much cost, that LCD on the voyager is straight out of 2001 nokia, it's about time they upgrade it to something more current even if just the backlight. anyways it seems like you've got ideas of your own so i guess we're essentially saying the same thing..

+1 with the above comment.
It doesn't necessarily have to sound like a Model D though.
Micromoog, Prodigy, The Source also share that typical Moog sound that's been lost when the Voyager came out... Imho.
The Voyager is so overpriced for what it is. I sold mine years ago and never look back.
All that to say that I don't expect much from Moog anymore.

My thoughts exactly, I've got the mg1
Realistic sitting next to the voyager
It's better then the seductive
voyager
No... That's not exactly true. Listening
To my completed tracks the voyager
Actully shines through the mix with
Hifi qualitys the older ones can't match
Super clean basses
So how can I Sam it..?
Old Moog is more Rock n roll
New one cleeeaaaan tech house trance...
I'm more rock oriented probably

I guess what you're looking for is called "The Macbeth Micromac". Isn't it?

I see Moog is now providing the last of the Select series to distributors, where each distributor is getting exclusive cabinet style. For example, Nova Musik is getting the last of the whitewash Voyagers.
