Hi

A while ago my Nord Lead 3 keyboard stopped responding properly...

When I play with the keys, sometimes it triggers notes, while some times it doesn't...
It's not a problem of polyphony, as I can be playing just one note at a time and it might play it or not...

Using other sound, it seems like the sound is played differently than what it should...

I'm just using the keyboard itself and I am not using any of the MIDI connections.

The knobs and buttons to program the synth seem to be working pretty well.

The keyboard was in a heavy smoke environment before, not sure if that might be important (it still stinks to smoke...).

Anyone has an idea of what the problem might be?

I think I'd start by seeing whether the synth responds consistently to MIDI. If so, it might be something as simple as a loose or corroded connection from the keyboard part to the rest of the synth.

I have tried it somewhere else and it seems to be working well now...
I'm not sure if the place I live in at the moment might have some unstable power (after all it's a student residence over 50 years old and it definitely looks old...).

I'd have tested it with MIDI, but it's the only keyboard I have here... :(

But it seems to be working well now... so I hope it's just a problem with the power in the place I live in now...
