After about a week of reading this thread on my commute to and from uni/work I must first say its been entertaining to say the least.
I've also ordered a mb and was told the eta is early September, anybody else in Melbourne, Australia ordered one? If so what was your eta and how much did you pay? I ended up getting one for $575 from storedj, I'm hanging to play with it and the videos are making it worse!
The guy who sold it to me said a week or so, hoping he's right
A week or so would be amazing, I really just can't wait to get my hands on this thing, gonna be my first analogue heh.
I haven't heard anything from them since they contacted to say the July release was not looking likely. I've just assumed a September release after seeing people mention September on here.
They must be making a bazillion of these. Either that or they should fire whoever set the MSRP at $499. Don't take the $600 bait guys. Keep your pre-orders at reputable vendors. Wait it out.
I got baited in with $100 off a $600 purchase at Musician's Friend... I was just shopping for a lefty bass flight case and that bargain baited me in for a Minibrute. They and others offer 10-15% off all the time.
If not for the bargain I was going to try to test one in the store first. I went with a Maschine over the Spark after testing each in the store and digging the pad and knob feel of the Maschine over the cheapish feel I got out of the Spark.

He's right. I would check ProAudioStar. I got mine on ebay through them. I admit that I got very, very, lucky.

According to the Australian distributor (CMI music & audio) the RRP is $649 here
I don't like its look really but just realized that all the ugly white knobs can actually be replaced since vintage synth knobs / slider caps are being sold for not too much. JP8 slider caps perhaps? SH101 ones? AND the sides of the synth could be replace with wood sides as well. Only last problem: the panel graphics!... anyway, seems to be a magic little new mono if they can get it out...

Yeah wood panels, the person to jump on making custom wood panels for this
would make a killing I think

What would be way cooler is a way to remove the inside two panels and connect two Brutes side by side with one as slave for a 2osc, 4 octave keyboard synth!
From the Arturia forum, a couple of notes about availability and reliability: Minibrute arrived: issues I've noticed. Scroll down to the last post, from Bruno@arturia.
While I'm posting links, there are also long threads on this topic at:

Indeed - when I bought from ProAudioStar, I got ripped off. They sent me what looked like factory seconds or returns, and insisted they were "new" but they weren't - registration card missing, fingerprints, jack wear.
