soo freakinly good still to this day. Almost 3 decades ago and not much can touch it. The production is outstanding, mixing and mastering is world class. Sounds good even on my macbook speakers.

Even to this day, no one has even got close to what Rakim is about. Those two guys were dangerous together.
Generally, I'm not a fan of Pantera. (I know, as a metalhead, that's kind of a sin.) I've tried to get into them since the 90's, but having been exposed to bands like Carcass and Napalm Death first, I always felt like they were a step backward. I only even have the Far Beyond Driven album because I love this song:
I don't know what in the world happened her in the last few days, but suddenly I can't seem to get enough of Pantera. I've got the Complete Studio Recordings on the way in the mail now.
I'm kind of in two minds about this one. On the one hand, it's a beautiful vocal, an amazing synth lead line at the drop, and overall a very addictive track. On the other hand it seems like three different tracks edited together, and during the drop, the kick is sidechained so heavily that everything else seems to breathe, and you totally lose the lead line on the beats.
Still listening to it on repeat, despite the imperfections.

I'll take the original version over that one any day :
