Does this sound tight to you (midi timing)?

Trying to determine if this is good enough or if I should try the MPC route. These are 6 synths (LP, Polaris, TX7, MicroconII, MW1, JD990) playing a single 16th note as well as a 909 synced via midi playing 16th hihats using Logic with 2 Unitor8 at 130 BPM:

www.scherer.de/Download/TimingTest.wav

The good thing about the Unitors via Logic is that they can actually play the notes on the different synths in parallel via the AMT scheme. However, there is still some midi jitter, I wonder if an MPC 2500 would be better. The downside to the MPC would be only 4 parallel outputs.

Thanks!

I only trust doing strings and minimal CC with midi.

Sounds like its going out of sync

If you need to put up a test laboratory setting, and even in this laboratory situation you aren't sure, it's definitively tight enough.
IMHO...
I for sure can't hear anything irregular.

Except of course that your Polaris is completely out of sync. Yuck!
Get rid of it - I'll buy it!
:-)

Cheers,
Bert
