What about controlling the Tetra vis CC or NRPN? Can you pretty much control everything that way? I have a Novation Remove SL midi controller and was figuring I could just control the Tetra with that which would eliminate any concern about not having enough knobs... or having to use the Tetra interface for programming.

If you have the patience to create the template for the SL, yes.
