Interesting synth glide/portamento effect?

Hi

Now i know many of you are not fans of trance music but please bear with me.

This particular track interests me and is much better than the usual commercial trance you hear today
YouTube - DuMonde - See the light

At 1:35 a big synth lead drops. It has a really unusual sounding "glide" effect between notes.

I was wondering if anyone knows how this is done?

Maybe a combination of portamento and pitch bend?

Sounds like normal portamento to me. Maybe 2 synths, one with portamento and the other without, so some parts are gliding and some no.

Thanks for taking time to listen

You could be onto something there

Perhaps its a synth which allows different portamento times per voice or oscillator?

vanguard can easily do this

the glide is only triggered when you overlap notes
