Logic Mainstage for Drum Triggering

I'm thinking about investing in the Alesis Trigger IO and a some sort of kick drum trigger, for live and in the studio and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

If it helps, I don't use any direct drive pedals, and I really slam my beaters into my kick so sensitivity wouldn't really be an issue...

I'd like to know about this also. I've been looking into using the DM5 with kontakt or battery 3.

I have not used the Alesis DM5 but I did read the manual and it seems very customizable for trigger sensitivity settings.

Mainstage would only serve as the host for whatever plug-in did the actual triggering. Mainstage itself doesn't have any triggering stuff; it understands how to route audio and MIDI input into plug-ins, and it lets you build a basic routing and mixing structure. That said, it's a pretty nice hosting program...
