- the power jacks on the front of my Monsterpower 2500s.
no need to get behind the racks to plug in the random pedal or piece of gear

- powered screwdriver
crucial for racking and unracking

- the slanted aspect of my slanted racks
puts the gear in a comfortable position to use while i'm sitting at the desk

- ikea LED "Dioder" lights IKEA | Lighting | Furniture lighting | DIODER | Lighting strip
i've mounted these in the back of my racks so when i go back there i just turn on the light and can see everything. no need for a flashlight. (multicolored too, for various moods!)

If anyone's got a link where I can purchase, I'd be much obliged.

hah, I'm looking for it also, and can't find it. Any suggestions anyone? Or is it only available in the stores?

It might not add much in the way of vibe, but without a doubt the most useful piece of gear I've ever owned:
LABEL MAKER!
Patchbays, midi controllers, component draws - you name it, I'll label it!

But if it's vibe you're after - studio dog/cat (dog, in my case). Makes everyone feels at home, and keeps you company in the wee hours...!

My studio space is in my apartment, which until recently was in a bachelor apartment... how cramped! Anyhow, now I'm in a two-room with one room functioning as a dedicated studio, and the one thing I kept in it on a shelf for easy access is quite a number of art books... including a few from Yo****aka Amano, H.R. Giger, Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo and Wayne Barlowe, to name but a few. I like to draw musical inspiration from non-musical works, no pun intended.

Like others, I too don't have internet access in my studio space.

It is the treated room itself I work in. When I'm in there surrounded by all those machines, I freak out. Soft walls give me the feeling that I am taken care of.

i love my

wireless mouse and kyeboard - me too like to avoid cables if i can

bellini leather sofa
DIY absorption panels

these two make me feel cozy when i'm in the studio. nice to be able to relax on the sofa at any given time.. and lean my head on one of the absorbers above..

still need to work on the lighting, to create right atmo/vibe.. and add more abosrbers & diffusors..
