I have lusted for an Exclusively Analogue Aviator synth since I saw and listened to it at Musikmesse Frankfurt in March 1994 or '95.
Ordered one immediately, but the dealer told me months later he couldn't do the deal (that was years before internet - for me - so I couldn't contact the manufacturer)...
There were 50 or so built.
Last week I got one!

Me happy.

I'm barely doing music anymore, and don't get a case of gear-lust that often. Until I see a pic of a Roland SVC-350 vocoder.... then I get that good old fashioned feeling!!!

But for now, a Neve 33609J/D would suffice to satisfy my G.A.S. for a few days... or hours.

For the longest time, all I ever wanted was an Andromeda, and now I've got one arriving in a couple days.

Now that I'm selling off my lower-end synths and getting into the $1000-ish range of synths, there's a lot of stuff that I've been pining for that will be within my grasp in the following months.

Outside of that, I would loooooove to have an ARP 2600 and a really nice console.

I second the Bosendorfer. Played around in their showroom not too long ago. Very nice pianos. Lovely. Beautiful. Lustworthy.

Yamaha CS80

I'll rather fulfill me this dream:

1 red synth (ok there are some)
1 orange synth (Microwave Xtk)
1 yellow synth (Mopho or Sledge)
1 green synth (some AtomoSynth stuff)
1 blue synth (Poly Evolver)
1 violet synth (hmm. Is Andromeda violet?)

What about a Fizmo rack?
And one of those E-MU grooveboxes is violet, right?

Cheers,

Ah nice, a thread to show one's decency!

My last "more or less affordable" objects of lust were a sunsyn and a rozzbox, and I was lucky on both, so now only (totally) unrealistic or ridiculous stuff is left:
- real piano & the space
- CS80 & the space
- Waldorf Wave & the space
- Beer's modular &...ah never mind
- RS505
- Gyratec X (or DW Fearn maybe?)

Coming to think about it, there are also a few things that i will pick-up if I stumble over them at a good price:
- spectralis
- 2nd chandler little devil EQ (curse the bloke who sold me the first one so cheap and now I want a 2nd one)
- 2nd schippmann ebbe & flut for true stereo (maybe belongs to list above..)
- 2nd Lilpeqr

Ooh. Big (treated) studio space with...

epic modular
Few classics (CS-80, Synthex, Minimoog, Prophet 5)
Rhodes piano
Grand Piano
Nice big desk to run it through, plus Lexicon& Bricasti verbs, Eventide processing and plenty of analogue fx)
Waldorf Wave
Schmidt 8 Voice
Range of guitar amps
[/daydream]

To be honest, a realistic ongoing gearlust is just a biggish modular- .com would suit me and a Voyager XL and maxed out E-Mu sampler. But I'm really sinking into the boring, need to haves at the moment and am still in the new synth familiarisation zone...

I've been after a Simmons clap trap for about 3 years, the price kept rising with ****** bags on eBay charging Β£600, eventually I found 2 in the same auction, the 1st one ever made and the digi one in the US, I won the auction for Β£450, but the guy wouldn't send to the UK, so I had him send it to a friend of mine in Miami, they arrived all safe and sound. I was so happy I almost cried. Then my friend moved house, and forgot to pack them. They are now missing, and we have no idea where they are. I can't sleep at night and have booked myself into hypnotherapy to try and overcome the loss, I'm not sure I'll ever get over this
