Recording MBase01

I have a Jomox Mbase01. I currently record it into my daw by plugging it into a channel of my Mackie 1202VLZPRO mixer and then through my NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface into my PC

Does anyone have any tips on how to record an MBase01?

Would it benefit the sound to go through a preamp like an Art Tube MP or similar? Or is it best just to put it directly into the Audio Kontrol 1 so the sound is as clean as possible?

Thanks for your help.

Unless you have a high quality DI, compressor or mic pre that you want to use in the chain, I would just go direct.
The Art pre is a decent budget piece, but unless you love the sound of the Mbase thru it, go direct. Going thru the Mackie or the Art will just add unwanted signal noise IMO.

Yeah, Mbase01 straight to audio interface... no cheap stuff in-between. The MBase01 is analog and sounds good already, so no big thing.
