Fifty one years old, just had my first release on vinyl - picked up from a track I posted on soundcloud and chosen to join a drum and bass compilation album by a lovely guy in Germany (Mindcolor Music)
Received two copies today, on beautifully thick vinyl, with one labelled just for me. Nice to see the kids eyes go wide. I'm a huge music fan and this kills me. I've been making music since I was about 17 on my Amiga and it's been a lifelong hobby. I really am feeling humble. Huge love to all the folk on here who encouraged me to keep making music, whether you ever did that or not.
Peace and love from Scotland
Here's the track. Posted it here before, but I didn't intend for this to happen, so I'm not even that happy with it! Remade the Uranium pad on the JD990 (the chord is all over the Internet, uses a Mellotron patch from the vintage synth board), Akai S1000 doing a (non-Splice!!) Amen and Jupiter 6 doing the big synths. 101 doing a few bleeps. S1000 also provided the sub. JX8P the strings nearer the end. Sean Costello provided the effects via Valhalla DSP. Mastered myself and that's probably the worst bit - not got the punch
