In other words, that's a 61 keys revamped Jupiter-Xm v3.0 without the others ABM models.

Yes! That Juno-60 model hopefully coming for JP-X too! Glad I postponed vintage Juno-60 purchase last week. I know the model is not the same as original but good enough for me!

A real shame for me as I hoped it would be more like a System-8 in a cooler skin than a cutdown Jupiter-X, but as I'm not really the target market I'm not going to be critical of it - I'm sure it will sound brilliant - it does look lovely.... I have a pal getting into synthesis and I think he will be all over this, as the JP-X is a bit expensive for him

Quoting specs from Sweetwater....

Onboard stereo speakers (inspired by the Juno-60)
The Juno 60 didn't have speakers. They mean the HS-60 perhaps? A bit lame not to get the right model in the their own specs if so.

I'd prefer if it looked more like the 6/60 than the 106, but hey ho.

Just a software cutdown, with controls dedicated to the Juno-106 model and v3.0 features (simplified arp, vocal designer). I wouldn't hold my breath about a specific Juno-60 model, given the differences between the ZEN-Core SH-101 vs the SH-01A. Yet, ZEN-Core does a decent high voices count 106.

Rest assured it's a Jupiter-X/Xm inside, speakers included. Same backplate.

Two grand? I would have expected the Juno model to come in a little cheaper. The Jupiter X is, what, $2800? It looks svelt, but I can't help feeling you're paying a premium for the name and the chassis, not for what's under the hood.

The Juno engine should have been ACB 6 voice.

Christ, I didn't realise it was 2K - that's a lot .... 1K would be about right!

does look cool. the Jupiter X looks cool too. the Juno X doesnt have the Jupiter Model? surely you can just get it from the zen core software anyway? in my mind, a 49 key Juno X would have been more desirable and a slightly lower cost. if i want 61 keys i might as well go for the Jupiter model.

So, this looks like it would be a really great synth for live use. You can have a RD series Piano, a JUNO lead synth, and a couple of Rompler tones from the XV-5080 each assigned to one of the four parts. Then using the Part level sliders, you can bring them in or layer them as needed in a song. For big gigs you have stereo XLR outs and for small casual jams it even has its own built-in speakers! Could be the perfect synth for a keyboardist that wants a minimalist setup or a "one and only" synth.

Of course, in the studio you get a four-part multi-timbral synth with drums. Unfortunately, it does not have individual outs for the different parts.

Now we just need to wait to see what it sounds like!

A Juno-Xm would be redundant with the $1200 Jupiter-Xm.
There more chances to see a $400 bi-timbral ZEN-Core Juno Boutique - JD/JX-08 style, IMHO.

For $2000, not even sure they kept the aftertouch (see Fantom-0).

After 3 years, this looks a lot like a reboot for the premium priced hardware + used account licensed extra content on Roland Cloud scheme to me.

I stand corrected, thanks.
No wonder about the BT and USB inherited from the AX-Edge.
This is the Jupiter-X/m v3.0 in a new Juno outfit.

There is only one question for me - can it do a great Mr Fingers hollow square bass (using the sub-osc)? It's my favourite Juno6/106 sound!

it's Zencore, it's not really going to sound like a Juno60/106.

You want the system 8 or the boutique in the cheap.

It's ugly

It's like the JUPITER-X as in it's too close to the source without being exactly the same therefor it looks like a knock-off. Taking some design cues from the old ones is fine but please give them their own flare and identity. No need to pander so hard to the vintage envy. This is not yer olde JUNO so it shouldn't try and look like one. JUPITER-80 did it right: modern with nods to the classic. You can tell it's JUPITER and you can tell it's a 2010-ish Roland.

This JUNO-X looks more Behringer than the Deepmind does.

Anyway, so JP-X direction, then I wonder what will happen with JUNO DS and the likes. Much pricier than I expected, but I know people want that metal and a good keyboard and those come at a price.

3 octave "JUNIOR-Xm" would be nice, it's a common mod:

Sadly, another missed chance for Roland, not interested at all....

Why do they keep exploiting there own legacy instead of rebuilding and expanding it.

This is not the future Roland, its repeating the same step over and over again
