I cancelled my bax shop order (from 24th of
september) because delivery date moved every week. And because there was stock on woodbrass.com

Ha ha just noticed this post.

It’s probably the only new synth today that I really like the sound of, apart from the Iridium which is a different beast.

I don’t really like the sound of new synths released today but M is a different story.

They did a great job with this machine.

Another demo from someone on Youtube. No FX, no ambient this time. Although, interesting live tweaking. The factory sounds used.

Just got it from the local store. Ordered 10 days ago.

This thing is fascinating. I love the display. Its bright, its sharp, and its small enough not to excite my brain visually.

The Envelope knobs are a bit wobbly I have to say. Everything else is solid.

I like the size and the weight , and I find it easy to use. Although I don‘t understand the VCA EnvAmp and Velocity knobs. But hey, there will be a time for RTFM.

The sound. Yes. Charakter right out of the box.

Weirdly enough I never was a huge Microwave fan, but this is a keeper and a classic.

So it seems I caved in, too

Can't wait. Hoping for interpolation to make the cut. Also, if there's any demos of the digital filters, would love to hear.

I mean shit the second sound on this demo, if thats not enough to sell it, not sure what is?
I don't like what he is playing but the sound itself is rough and tough as shit! at 1min and 22 seconds I smile, what a sound, and that is dry, no stupid FX to make the sound try hard!

oh and @3 mins 28 it sounds like Robert Hood took control of the synth.
Seriously magical sound.

No new synth can compare or VST for that matter.

Here for the gear

Last night tried to route a part (in a Multi) to output A-B but it seems impossible.
One part can be routed only to one output (mono).
Is it a hardware limitation?

Thanks

Nice. Which country are you in!? I'm being quoted 4 months+, here in Germany.

On the bright side, I did just get a €124 discount, from the Bax 7% off everything Black Friday sale.

Have you noticed that the Aux outs are TRS stereo jacks?

Can anyone recommend me any good desktop stands for M? I'd like to tilt it as I saw in some videos but I'm interested in which ones are your favorite stands

I had an old mstand rain leftover from office days, I put my M on that. Seems to work well, not too heavy, doesn’t tilt over.

I use the same stand for my Iridium, The M is on a vesa monitor arm right behind it. The Mstands are great, I have a few around.

There is difference in sound of course based on the Curtis vs. SSM filter.
So having a MW1, the M, would be redundant in terms of sound? except for the filter of course

DJ Laptop stand is usually a cheap solution or as it's rackable you could try a small table top tilted mini rack. Rack ears are a separate purchase I read whilst checking the price.

This is exactly the kind of space saving tools I was thinking about, not the best look in town but super effective for small studios.

Yes.

But a different filter and the additional M features are nice to have.

yes... the ability to import wavetables into the M may be a compelling difference

If you are into SysEx, it is no problem to send userwaves and wavetables into the original MW.

If someone would make a simple script to do it in an easy way on todays computers, it would be for sure welcome by MW users.

I use this one: https://www.monstrummedia.com/product/wave1/

[quite different from a simple script, of course]
